Did NASCAR Make Me Mad Already?

So, I did not watch NASCAR last weekend.  Did I get mad at NASCAR so soon early in the season?  Yes I did get mad at NASCAR so soon in the season.  I have my reasons and I finally got fed up with what NASCAR has been doing for years.
There was no reason for NASCAR to make a rule change in the middle of the weekend.  They should have waited until the beginning of the week.  Do they realize they are driving more people away from the sport when they continue to make these stupid types of moves?  It irritates me when they do stuff like this in the middle of the weekend.
For the record, I do not think all those teams intentionally tried to fail pre-qualifying inspection so that they could start on new tires.  One reason was that I believe some of them would like a good pit stall selection.  Another reason was that some of the teams that did not get to qualify could have qualified well.  I know a few drivers that were in the top-5 in practice and they could have qualified in the top-5.  I could name 3 teams that were good in practice and could have qualified well.  The #10, #14, and the #88 teams could have qualified really well for the race last weekend.  I’m pretty sure they did not fail on purpose.
I’m pretty sure there were more that could have qualified well.  The #48 team wanted to do better in qualifying since they haven’t been qualifying well these past few weeks.  Anyway, NASCAR decided to change the rule to let all the teams start on fresh tires for the race last Sunday because fresh tires were so important for that race.  Usually the teams had to start the race on the tires they qualified on.  So the teams that were not able to qualify would start on fresher tires and the teams who qualified would start on the tires they qualified on.  So, NASCAR changes the rules to punish the teams who were not able to qualify.  All teams were able to start on fresher tires.
NASCAR jumped the gun and just assumes the teams intentionally failed pre-qualifying inspection on purpose.  Some of those teams wanted to start in the top-10 and wanted good pit stalls.  NASCAR could have prevented this a few weeks ago when the #78 team failed pre-qualifying inspection and they started on fresher tires while everyone else were on old tires.  It helped Martin Truex Jr. to make it into the top-10.  It looks to me that NASCAR is showing favoritism again this year to the #78 team.  If NASCAR really cared, they would have made a change in the beginning of that week.
NASCAR does what they always want.  They make up the rules as they go.  This is why they continue to lose fans.  I haven’t decided if I want to watch the race this weekend.  I am still thinking about it.  NASCAR should have talked with the teams first.

I’m done!!!  I guess until next time.  I hope sooner than later.
