My 2018 Holiday Hauls

            I had a few holiday hauls in November and December from Ulta and Sephora.  I am going to share a few things I got during the sales.  Women and some men love a good beauty sale.  All men should love a good beauty sale especially if you are married.  Most women love beauty products.  We just cannot resist a good sale when it comes to buying our beauty products. 

            I had shopped at Ulta about three different times.  So, I had three different Ulta hauls.  During those different times, I was able to use a 20% off coupon for each of those times.  The coupon codes were different each time, so you could not use the same code over again.  This 20% off coupon was for prestige items as well.  The only time I like to do my shopping is during the big sales.  Yes, I had to learn that is the best way to go.  Anyway, to save some money when making purchases.  So, I patiently wait every time.  It was so hard to do.  I did it though.  It was well worth the wait.

            I want to mention something.  I want to make a correction.  I had a total of 4 hauls that started from the end of October to December.  The last haul is missing from this pic.  I will probably add the pic later when I put it together and take pics of it.  So, I was able to use a 20% off coupon four different times.  You must take advantage of these coupons from Ulta.  They are so worth it.  Here is my Ulta haul with only the first three hauls. 

            Some products are my first time buying and some products are replenished products.  .  The gold bag is a 20 piece date night beauty bag with a $75 online purchase for one of my Ulta orders.  There are some good samples in that bag.  I will go into more details in another post about the samples in this bag.  I never have the time to come back on my blog to review my products from my hauls.  I am going to try to do more when I get the time.  I want to share what does and doesn’t work for me.  

            Sephora this year had so many different sales for their customers.  I did not do all of them.  I only bought something during the holiday sales.  Since I am VIB, I got the 20% off coupon.  Last year I had made a promise to myself to spend less at Sephora.  Well, I did buy what I really wanted.  I did not get a lot because I technically did not want a lot for some reason.  I guess the shopping for makeup was already starting to hit me, but I do still love makeup.  I just need to change things up.  Here is a pic below of my Sephora Haul.  Noticed that there is no free samples.  I requested, but did not get them.  

            After all the buying during the holiday season, I decided that I need to take a break from buying more eyeshadow palettes and other makeup items.  I bought more eyeshadow palettes than I should have.  I know!!!  At least I do realize my little problem.  I want to use them up before I buy anymore.  I’m not going to be able to use them up this year, but I am going to try to keep from buying so much more when I need to use my other ones a little more.  I do not care how badly I want another one.  I may talk about this in another post about my eyeshadow palettes.  I think I am going to concentrate more on skincare products than makeup.  The only makeup I will continue to buy is foundation and mascaras. 

            I still have most of the things I bought still in boxes because now I need to organize everything.  I bought an organization for my eyeshadow palettes.  I also won an organizer for my other beauty products that I need to put together and use.  Yes, I won prizes from people I follow on Instagram.  You must enter on their Instagram page.  If you do not enter, you do not have a chance to win.  Some people think it is fake, but it isn’t.  But be warned that there are people who has fake accounts that does fake giveaways so be alert and do your research. 

            So, after all the makeup I bought during the holidays, I have decided to go with not buying anything from Ulta and Sephora.  I am not buying anymore makeup until my birthday (March).  I decided on the first day of the year (literally just a few days ago) that I am going to do a no buy.  And that no buy will end in March.  The no buy is referring to makeup.  I will not buy any eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, etc.  I will only buy foundations, concealers, mascaras, and skincare products.  I bought enough eyeshadow that will last for a while.

            Just because I am not going to buy eyeshadow palettes for a while does not mean that I do not like makeup anymore.  I still love makeup.  I am still obsessed with makeup.  I just need a break from buying makeup.  Skincare is really in so much.  I still buy skincare when I buy makeup, but I buy more makeup than skincare.  I still buy hair care products as well.  Anyway, cutting back on buying makeup is a go for me.  It is just time for me to cut back.  I need to use up what I have right now. 

            I do not like entering the makeup giveaways like I use to.  I’m just so done with buying makeup and entering makeup giveaways now.  I’m just going to buy what I run out of for now on.  I’m just going to enter more skincare giveaways and buy more skincare.  And guess what the new trend is---a mini fridge.  Yes, I want.  I have already been doing my research and I know the brand I want.  I am going to buy the mini fridge next month.  I wanted to wait when it starts to warm up.  The weather I mean.  I need to make room first.  I will talk more about this another time.
