Daytona 500 Was Not So Boring
I must admit that the Daytona 500
race was not so boring after all. It may
have been boring when they were running that single file line or train (C’mon ride that train and ride it!!! Oops!!!)
during one part of the race. Most of the
race was finally exciting after all. And
I’m not referring to the wrecks. I did
not like the wrecks. I’m in the majority
who does not watch racing because of the wrecks. No!!!
No!!!
My observation of the race is that
the Ford drivers were the ones who started the single file racing. Technically, it was not racing, it was following
the leader. It was the train. Yes, it was started by them. Because they wanted to make sure that they
stayed ahead and did not get involved in any wrecks. They wanted to make sure that the Toyota and
Chevrolet drivers had to work even harder to get ahead of them or to keep up
with them.
I got excited during one part of the
race when the Toyota teams of Joe Gibbs Racing and the Chevrolet teams of
Hendrick Motorsports got together to take on the Ford drivers. It did work.
They were able to overpower the Ford drivers during one part of the
race. Yes!!! I like it when a plan comes together. Even if it was for a little while. It was fun to watch. I think it broke their momentum during the
rest of the race. I have been saying it
for a long time that the Chevrolet teams and the Toyota teams needed to get
together to overtake the Ford teams.
I would also like to add the wreck
that was caused by Paul Menard. Yes, the
all so perfect Paul. Everyone got mad at
Jimmie Johnson for wrecking him in the Clash, but do not forget that it was
Menard fault for coming down on JJ as well.
Menard even said it in his interview that he came down on him. I do not want to hear it that JJ wrecked
Menard this many times. No!!! I do not care. JJ got caught up in plenty of other wrecks at
the plate tracks that wasn’t his fault and you do know when he got out of his
car, he said it was just plate racing. He
did not place any blame on anyone. Just
like when he got hit from behind on pit road and he got caught up in that big
wreck. He did not blame anyone. Some of you do not know that because you do
not like to hear JJ talk. I
listen!!! All I am going to say is just
think before you open your mouth because karma does pay attention.
I’m happy that Denny Hamlin won the
race on Sunday. No, I am not a fan of
Hamlin, but it was all for J.D. Gibbs and I am fine with that. Sometimes in situations like this, you must
have a heart and just be happy for that situation. Yes, other people wanted to win, but this was
meant to be.
I’m ready to move on from
Daytona. I’m ready to see what the new rule
package has in store for Atlanta Motor Speedway. Let me just make this so clear. From what I have read, the package at AMS is
a partial package. The new rule package
will be fully implemented at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I do not want to go into too much details,
but if you want to know more information about it please go on Twitter to read
more about it from Jeff Gluck or Bob Pockrass.
They will give more insight of the situation. I would also go on https://www.nascar.com/ as well. I just like to give my opinions about things.
I’m just ready to see some fun
racing this weekend because AMS is known for that. By the way, I do not dislike all Ford
drivers. I like a few Ford drivers. Key word dislike not hate. Hate is a strong word. I see it a lot under some comments of racing fans
when they do not like a driver. It is
all right to not like a driver, but hating a driver is too harsh. It is just me on how I feel. Comment below if you like. I do not mind.
I’m
done!!! I guess until next time. I hope sooner than later.
