Pocono (The Tricky Triangle)
Pocono! What can I say? 🤔 Wait, give me a few seconds to think about how I feel about Pocono. (🤔Jeopardy music playing in my head). I have my mixed feelings about Pocono. The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series is racing at Pocono this weekend. The only time I liked that track is when Jeff Gordon won
or finished good there. I also liked it
when Hendrick Motorsports was good at that track. I know--things are different now 🙄. Racing just haven’t been the same for me in
so many ways. I usually post racing
things on social media, but I haven’t in a while. I’m trying to get back into it. I miss blogging about racing. If you follow my blog, you know that I have
been posting just about makeup. My blog
is supposed to be about makeup, racing and whatever else in between. I used to write for my local newspaper about
NASCAR a few years ago. Anyway, I’m
going to try to write more about racing again.
I want my blog to still be for everyone to read.
The last few weeks the racing has
been fun to watch again. I’m not saying
that it has been the best, but it has been good. There still need to be some improvements. I have been watching racing since late
2004. The race has been changing a lot since
I started watching. Let’s get back to
Pocono though. I hope this package works
at Pocono on Sunday. In recent years, it
has been boring. I hope this package
produce a good race on Sunday like it has been the last few weeks at the other intermediate
tracks.
I just do not want to be put to
sleep while watching the race. I want a
race that will have some passing and that the second-place driver can pass the
leader. I want the lead to change a
lot. I do not want to see the leader
running away with the lead by more than 5 seconds. That is all I’m asking for.
Now,
I am of course an HMS fan. Of course, I
want one of them to win. I also like all
the other Chevrolet drivers. I did add
another favorite driver to my extensive list of drivers who I will root
for. Ryan Blaney has been added to my
list. My picks for the race on Sunday are
the #12 (Blaney), #9 (Chase Elliott), #4 (Kevin Harvick), and the #42 (Kyle
Larson). It doesn’t matter where they
start from. I think Pocono will come
down to strategy.
There is also another NTT IndyCar
race on Sunday. They are racing at the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix. My driver did not do
well on Saturday. I hope he has better luck on Sunday. I am referring to the #12 Will Power. Fingers crossed that he will do better on
Sunday. I hope his luck will turn
around.
I’m
done!!! I guess until next time. I hope sooner than later 😉.
