Joe Gibbs Racing Wins Again
The AAA 400 Drive for Autism Sprint
Cup Series race at Dover was won on Sunday by Joe Gibbs Racing once again. I am glad that it wasn’t Kyle Busch. I guess Matt Kenseth is a little deserving of
winning the race on Sunday. I am a
little disappointed because I wanted any other team to win instead of JGR. Kenseth was able to hold off two young guns
in the last 30 laps of the race.
I honestly was not rooting for
Kenseth to win. I did not care about the
bad luck he had so far this year. The
reason why I did not care is because he could have won two races already this
year. I got mad at Kenseth. Kenseth could have won the Daytona 500 if he
was not all about following behind Denny Hamlin and doing what he was telling
him to do. If Kenseth ran his own race
instead of all teammates sticking together, he would have won the Daytona 500. He won the Daytona 500 before without the
help of teammates. So, I let that go.
And then it was Martinsville. Kenseth led a few laps in that race and had
the car to beat. Instead of him just
worrying about himself, he was all about him and teammate Kyle Busch. Kenseth was making deals with Busch so that
Busch would be able to stay up front.
Kenseth did not have to make those deals. I think it was a possibility that Kenseth
would have won Martinsville, if he was not making deals with Busch. No Kenseth
let Busch trick him into helping Busch more than himself. If Kenseth left Busch hanging, Busch would
not have won Martinsville.
Kenseth was treated like a puppet in
those races. He was helping his
teammates more than himself. I was
disappointed in those races because Kenseth was not racing like he was supposed
to. Yes there are organizations that
have two to four teams. Teammates are supposed
to help each other in the organization when it comes to meetings when sharing
information with each other. Teammates
help each other out during practice and qualifying with sharing their setups or
information of what their cars are doing.
Sometime on the race track during a race, teammates look out for each
other and show each other respect when racing against each other. But when it comes to racing each other on the
track, they are individuals racing for their own sponsors. Kenseth had his own sponsors to think
about.
Kenseth finally won a race because
he did not have to cater to teammates.
It was all about Kenseth. It was
about Kenseth holding off Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott for the win. Kenseth did not have to think about teammates
in the last few laps. I guess finally Kenseth
was able to dust off the bad luck today to get that win. It was not an easy win, but he did really
deserve the win. Even though I did not
want to see JGR winning again, I guess it is better Kenseth than the rest of
them.
