Martinsville - I'm Not Use to Jeff Gordon Being Out Of The Car Yet
When I think of Martinsville, I think of Jeff Gordon dominating the track. I think of Gordon passing other drivers on a short track that some people say is hard to pass. Gordon is so smooth on the track. I like watching him race. I like watching Gordon race at Martinsville. He has a finesse to racing at Martinsville. Gordon was always the car to beat. I do not care if another driver leads a lot of laps. Gordon is there. Most of the time it is Gordon leading the most laps. It doesn't matter where he qualified because he was good no matter what in race trim. Gordon have qualified outside of the top-10. He did ended up in the top-5 in no time. Gordon would be the only driver to have the patience to race at that track. Most of the time other drivers lose their patience at that track, but not Gordon. Gordon knows what he have to do at that track. He knows it does no good to lose your patience at that track. If you lose your patience, it throws your rhythm off. I have been a fan of Gordon since late 2004. I learned a lot about him. When I think of Martinsville, I can only think of Gordon. I know there are other drivers who has more wins there than him. But I did not watch the other drivers. To me, in my eyes, the Martinsville track seems like a track just made for Gordon. I am going to miss Gordon racing at Martinsville. Even though Gordon will not be in the car, I am looking forward to the racing there. Even though other drivers will win there, it will not be the same as Gordon winning there. The other wins there will not compare to his final Martinsville win in 2015. I will never get that win out of my head. I always felt that was just meant to be for Gordon. A farewell like no other. Gordon last win was meant for it to be a Martinsville win. I'm looking forward to watching him call the race. I'm looking forward to watching one of his former teammates winning there now.
