Update on the Lug Nuts Rule Situation
NASCAR Senior Vice President of Competition Scott Miller said on Friday
that they are going to take another look at the lug nuts rule. So, the NASCAR sanctioning body is going to
look over the lug nuts rule. Does this
mean that Tony Stewart should have his penalty rescinded? Why
couldn’t NASCAR just say that before penalizing Stewart? Why couldn’t they just say that they will look
into the issue before making that decision to penalize Stewart? It seems so stupid to me in the
beginning. Sometime I just don’t
understand the sanctioning body of NASCAR.
Wait, I think I do get it. The
more bad judgment calls that NASCAR make for the sport, the more I continue to
question myself about this sport that I have been watching for years. I just do not know what to think of NASCAR
anymore. I think the sanctioning body of
NASCAR needs to have more time to think about the situation before going all
in. I’m so glad that my favorite driver
has retired from the sport. You just
wonder what the next bad call is going to be around the corner. I just have a feeling that there are more bad
situations that are going to come our way.
I know one thing for sure that NASCAR should rescind the penalty they
gave Stewart. And I don’t want to hear
that NASCAR had to do it because he made it known to the public instead of
coming to them. That is not an excuse
for me. Stewart opinion was only his concern for the safety of the drivers, crews, and fans. I do not think that was disparaging to the sport.
